About
DIDI is a private, non-profit design university offering the region’s first multidisciplinary Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree, which integrates visual literacy, technological fluency, and strategic proficiency. Students choose two concentrations from four options- Product Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Design, and Strategic Design Management. The curriculum emphasises cross-disciplinary studio work, hands-on projects, and design thinking. It was developed in collaboration with MIT and Parsons School of Design, giving it an international pedigree and design education benchmarks. DIDI is located in Dubai Design District (d3), which is a creative and cultural hub, specialising in design, fashion, art, architecture, and tech innovation. This gives students exposure to creative companies, showrooms, cultural events, design-industry neighbours, networking and internship opportunities.The campus is designed to facilitate open, collaborative, “mega” studio spaces (designed by Foster + Partners), breakout / workshop areas, a FabLab (fabrication lab) built to high standards, and spaces that allow for creativity, prototyping and multidisciplinary projects.
